Food Production Shift Leader

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Food Production Shift Leader to join a well‑established manufacturing team in Arima. You will be responsible for driving daily and weekly production targets while ensuring strict compliance with food safety and occupational health standards.

Key responsibilities

• Achieve daily and weekly production targets.
• Identify and report any production shortfalls.
• Complete production, quality, HR and operational reports accurately and on time.
• Enforce GMP, food safety, sanitation and occupational health & safety requirements.
• Maintain high standards throughout the production environment.
• Coordinate and verify raw materials required for production.
• Prepare inventory reports.
• Monitor employee attendance, punctuality and absenteeism.
• Allocate manpower effectively across production lines.
• Coach employees and support disciplinary processes when needed.
• Coordinate staff training and knowledge transfer.

Required profile

• Minimum CXC/CSEC passes.
• At least 3 years of experience in a food production or manufacturing environment, including supervisory experience.
• Strong people‑management and organizational abilities.
• Food safety or employee supervision certification is a strong asset.
• Experience with production reporting and inventory control.
