IT Field Technician

About the role

The IT Field Technician will provide on‑site technical support across remote locations in Trinidad & Tobago. You will diagnose and resolve hardware, software and network issues, ensuring users stay productive in demanding field environments.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct scheduled and ad‑hoc visits to remote sites to diagnose and fix IT problems.
• Install, configure and maintain computers, peripherals, network equipment and other IT devices.
• Perform preventive maintenance, equipment inspections and basic network troubleshooting (wired and wireless).
• Support routers, switches, access points and other network infrastructure.
• Assist users with laptops, desktops, printers and mobile devices.
• Document equipment, faults, repairs and site visits; prepare service reports.
• Escalate complex issues to the IT Technical Consultant or specialist.
• Ensure all work follows client HSE requirements and site procedures.
• Maintain professional communication with client personnel and site representatives.

Required profile

• Relevant Diploma, Associate Degree, CompTIA A+, CompTIA Network+ or equivalent qualification.
• 1–3 years experience in IT technical support, desktop or network support.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem‑solving abilities.
• Ability to work independently, travel to field locations and hold a valid driver’s licence.
• Excellent communication and customer‑service skills.
• Willingness to comply with HSE requirements.
