Accountant

About the role

We are seeking an Accountant to own our core accounting operations while applying finance expertise to the real‑world use and validation of Intellico’s AI‑powered ERP platform. The role blends traditional accounting duties with hands‑on involvement in ERP development and testing.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain accurate general ledger and accounting records.
• Manage accounts payable, accounts receivable and invoicing.
• Perform monthly bank and account reconciliations.
• Support payroll processing and related accounting.
• Prepare statutory calculations and submissions (PAYE, NIS, Health Surcharge, VAT, etc.).
• Assist with month‑end and year‑end closing and prepare financial reports.
• Support budgeting, cash‑flow forecasting and maintain audit‑ready records.
• Liaise with external accountants, auditors, BIR, NIB and other bodies.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or related field (or equivalent experience).
• Minimum three years of relevant accounting experience.
• Working knowledge of Trinidad & Tobago statutory requirements.
• Experience with general ledger, AP, AR and bank reconciliations.
• Strong Microsoft Excel skills and proficiency with accounting or ERP software.
• Understanding of accounting principles, financial controls and confidentiality.
