Computer Support Specialist

About the role

V2X is seeking a Computer Support Specialist to join the Ascension Island Service Desk team. You will provide front‑line technical assistance to Air Force and DoD users, ensuring reliable operation of hardware, software, and communication systems in a fast‑paced, mission‑critical environment.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver in‑person, phone, and electronic support for desktop, laptop, mobile devices, printers, VoIP phones, and specialized communication equipment.
• Respond to and resolve trouble tickets using REMEDY or other approved government systems within defined SLA times.
• Install, configure, update, and maintain classified and unclassified client/server devices and peripherals.
• Create, modify, and delete user accounts in Active Directory and related voice/video services.
• Apply security patches, anti‑virus updates, and perform client‑side support for CAC unlock/reset procedures.
• Document support actions, track trends, and provide status reports to leadership.
• Assist with network monitoring, issue detection, and performance analysis.
• Provide on‑site presence for launch operations and portable communication equipment setup.
