Risk Analyst – Contract Position

About the role

The Risk Analyst will support RBC Investment Management by monitoring risk across portfolios, conducting transaction monitoring, and preparing risk reports. This contract role involves daily, weekly, monthly and quarterly risk activities.

Key responsibilities

• Assist the Manager – Risk in tracking portfolios for compliance with internal, statutory guidelines and fund prospectuses.
• Collect data for market risk measures and monitor price movements per the Pricing Policy.
• Report on aged interest, maturity payments and non‑compliant trades.
• Validate new CUSIPs, update credit ratings, and maintain the securities database.
• Prepare quarterly risk reports for the Investment Policy Committee and resolve audit issues.

Required profile

• First degree in Finance, Economics, Business Administration or equivalent.
• Knowledge of multiple asset classes and ability to interpret financial data.
• Understanding of financial indicators and drivers of value in listed companies.

Required skills

• Working knowledge of risk systems and analytics.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
