Risk Analyst

About the role

The Risk Analyst will support the monitoring of risk across all portfolios at RBC Investment Management, handling transaction monitoring, valuation and performance measurement.

Key responsibilities

• Assist the Manager – Risk in tracking portfolios for compliance with internal, statutory guidelines and fund prospectuses.
• Collect data for market risk measures and monitor price movements per the Pricing Policy.
• Report on aged interest, maturity payments and non‑compliant trades.
• Validate new CUSIPs for accuracy and update credit ratings when revised.
• Prepare quarterly risk reports for the Investment Policy Committee and address audit issues.

Required profile

• First degree in Finance, Economics, Business Administration or equivalent.
• Knowledge of multiple asset classes and ability to interpret financial data.
• Understanding of financial indicators and drivers of value in listed companies.

Required skills

• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
• Working knowledge of risk systems and analytics.
