Senior Virtualization Engineer

About the role

The Senior Virtualization Engineer will design, implement and maintain high‑availability virtualized compute and storage infrastructure for Liberty Caribbean. This regional position works across multiple markets, ensuring the VMware environment is scalable, resilient and aligned with business needs.

Key responsibilities

• Architect, design, install, configure, monitor and maintain VMware vSphere and vSAN cluster environments.
• Manage ESXi host hardware, perform corrective actions and scheduled firmware upgrades.
• Plan and execute capacity expansions for compute and storage to support customer services.
• Provision, maintain and monitor IBM, Cisco and HPE infrastructure components.
• Deploy virtual machines and templates across VMware clusters.
• Implement and manage hardware support contracts to guarantee infrastructure availability.
• Ensure compliance with Liberty Caribbean information security and IT governance policies.
• Contribute to infrastructure strategy while staying hands‑on with implementation and operations.

Required profile

• English fluency – written and spoken.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or a related field.
• Proven experience designing and operating enterprise‑level virtualization platforms.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities.
