Manager - Security Operations and Incident Response

About the role

The incumbent will lead the Group's security operations and incident response function, ensuring continuous monitoring, threat hunting, vulnerability management and rapid incident detection and remediation. This role is responsible for building a resilient security operations capability that protects the organization’s assets and supports operational continuity.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and manage Security Operations to maintain the integrity of security systems, technologies and controls.
• Design, implement and maintain the Information Security Incident Management Program.
• Create and improve processes for detecting malicious activity and responding to incidents.
• Conduct regular exercises, tests and simulations to ensure incident response readiness.
• Oversee the vulnerability management framework, driving proactive identification and remediation of vulnerabilities.
• Review vendor security operations and incident response capabilities.
• Analyze security incidents, trends and emerging threats to drive continuous improvement.
• Manage technical security training for staff involved in security operations and incident response.
• Lead and manage the human resources required for efficient delivery of security operations and incident response.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems or related field (or equivalent professional qualification).
• At least three years of progressive experience in security operations, with at least one year at a supervisory level (or higher experience levels as outlined).
• Relevant certifications such as CISM, CISSP or equivalent.
• Strong understanding of legal and regulatory requirements applicable to the banking and financial services industry.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to interact professionally with customers and stakeholders.
