Carbon & Energy Engineer – Energy Sector

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Carbon & Energy Engineer to support professional services within Trinidad & Tobago’s energy and industrial sectors. The role focuses on improving energy efficiency, managing greenhouse‑gas emissions and driving carbon‑reduction initiatives across complex industrial facilities.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement energy‑efficiency and carbon‑reduction projects.
• Identify opportunities to improve energy performance in industrial operations.
• Provide technical input for greenhouse‑gas emissions management and reduction.
• Analyse energy, emissions and operational data to spot trends and improvement opportunities.
• Support carbon‑emissions data collection, validation, analysis and reporting.
• Collaborate with engineering, operations, projects, environmental and HSSE teams.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Process, Chemical, Electrical, Energy, Environmental Engineering or related discipline.
• Minimum 8 years of experience in oil & gas, petrochemical, refining or comparable industrial environments.
• Strong understanding of energy‑management principles and greenhouse‑gas emissions reduction strategies.
• Familiarity with evolving environmental, carbon and net‑zero requirements.

Required skills

• Practical knowledge of ISO 50001, ISO 14001, ISO 14064 and the GHG Protocol.
• Experience with energy and emissions data analysis and technical reporting.
