Laboratory Analyst

About the role

Join the Health, Environment, Safety, and Quality (HESQ) team at Yara Trinidad Ltd. as a Laboratory Analyst, providing reliable analytical services to support safe, efficient, and environmentally responsible plant operations.

Key responsibilities

• Perform routine and specialised laboratory testing according to established methods and schedules.
• Coordinate daily testing activities, prioritize work based on plant requirements, and provide technical guidance to laboratory technicians.
• Collect, prepare, and analyse plant, product, and environmental samples, and interpret results to support process optimisation.
• Maintain laboratory equipment, calibrations, records, and ensure compliance with ISO and regulatory standards.

Required profile

• Associate Degree or Diploma in Chemistry, Chemical Laboratory Technology, Chemical Engineering Technology, or related field.
• Minimum eight years of relevant laboratory experience, preferably in petrochemical, manufacturing, energy, or process industries.
• Strong commitment to Health, Environment, Safety, and Quality (HESQ) standards and continuous improvement.

Required skills

• Proficiency in laboratory analytical techniques and instrumentation.
• Experience with laboratory information systems and Microsoft Office applications.
• Knowledge of quality control practices, equipment calibration, and regulatory compliance.
