Mechanical Technician Trainee

About the role

The Mechanical Technician Trainee supports the Maintenance Base by ensuring equipment is delivered on time and maintained according to reliability‑centered strategies. This entry‑level position focuses on reducing non‑productive time, improving maintenance efficiency, and contributing to continuous improvement initiatives.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain assigned equipment following the prescribed maintenance program and CMMS records.
• Record materials, labor, and equipment performance in Technology Lifecycle Management (TLM) systems.
• Participate in asset utilization and cost‑of‑service‑delivery improvement projects.
• Support initiatives that reduce downtime, improve turnaround time, and enhance technician productivity.
• Assist in failure investigations and implement planned repair and part‑reuse projects.

Required profile

• Recent graduate with an Associate, Diploma, BTech, BEng or similar in Aerospace, Aviation, Automotive, Electrical, Electronics, Industrial, Instrument, Mechanical, Mechatronics or Metallurgy.
• Intermediate proficiency with Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
• Basic knowledge of hydraulics and mechanical systems.
• Strong problem‑solving attitude, attention to detail and ability to work in a team.
