Delivery Driver / Attendant – Local & Export Shipments

About the role

The Delivery Driver/Attendant is responsible for moving goods safely and efficiently to both local customers and export destinations. The role requires a proactive attitude, reliable attendance, and a focus on customer service while maintaining the delivery vehicle in good condition.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver goods to local customers according to schedule, ensuring correct items match invoices.
• Transport export shipments to the Port of Port of Spain or freight forwarder warehouses.
• Inspect, maintain, and perform basic checks on the delivery vehicle (fuel, oil, tire pressure, brakes).
• Collect imports from various locations and assist with picking, packing, and loading of containers.
• Support monthly, quarterly, and yearly stock‑takes and perform crating and packing of export orders.
• Handle goods carefully during loading/unloading and report any delays, damages, or vehicle issues.

Required profile

• Minimum two years of driving experience with a valid Heavy‑T driver’s licence and an acceptable driving record.
• Ability to lift and carry packages up to 50 lb and operate a manual‑transmission vehicle.
• Willingness to work long hours, including weekends and holidays, and to be reachable by phone at all times.
• Strong commitment to safety, punctuality, and professional customer communication.
