Relationship Manager

About the role

The Relationship Manager role combines sales expertise with deep financial analysis to deliver tailored advice to commercial banking clients. You will manage a portfolio of businesses, develop credit solutions, and act as a trusted advisor. The position emphasizes digital enablement and collaboration across RBC’s product and risk teams.

Key responsibilities

• Acquire, manage, retain and grow a portfolio of commercial banking clients through prospecting and value delivery.
• Provide customized financial and business advice, reviewing financial statements and identifying risk trends.
• Collaborate with internal partners to develop client contact strategies, leveraging virtual and digital channels.
• Identify referral opportunities and coordinate introductions to meet comprehensive client needs.
• Champion digital transformation by promoting RBC’s digital and multi‑channel solutions to clients and staff.

Required profile

• University degree in commerce, finance, business administration or related field.
• 3‑5 years of commercial/business banking experience with a proven sales track record.
• Strong credit skills, including risk assessment, financial analysis and credit structuring.
• Demonstrated ability to acquire new clients, pitch value propositions and generate referrals.
