Client Associate

About the role

The Client Associate delivers RBC’s client experience on the branch floor, assisting customers with everyday banking transactions, digital banking guidance, and cash‑handling duties. You will act as the first point of contact, ensuring client needs are met efficiently while promoting RBC’s multi‑channel solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Assist clients with account opening, term deposits, credit cards and day‑to‑day transactions, and refer them to Sales Professionals when appropriate.
• Manage client flow on the branch floor, engage customers on entry, and promote digital and self‑service banking tools.
• Handle client concerns using “Make it Right” principles, log complaints, and follow up through RBC’s complaint handling system.
• If appointed as Cash Custodian, oversee cash ordering, redemption, end‑of‑day balancing and minimise cash differences and losses.

Required profile

• Minimum five passes (Grades I, II or III) with compulsory Math and English.
• Proven customer‑service and operations experience in a client‑focused, target‑driven environment.
• Leadership, multitasking, problem‑solving and teamwork abilities.
• Diploma or Associate Degree in Banking or a related field (nice‑to‑have).
