Security Agent (Aviation & Cargo)

About the role

The Aviation and Cargo Security Agent ensures day‑to‑day customer service, safety and security within a highly regulated airport environment. The role covers passenger handling, wheelchair assistance, baggage tracing and strict compliance with state, airport and Swissport operating procedures.

Key responsibilities

• Guard aircraft and control access to aircraft and airport facilities.
• Conduct cabin, body and baggage searches, including X‑ray screening of cargo, hold and hand baggage.
• Perform document verification, passenger profiling and escort bags or cargo to prevent tampering.
• Maintain perimeter security, patrol high‑security areas and manage catering security.
• Screen employees and visitors, enforce dress‑code and behavior policies, and prevent unauthorized entry of items.
• Report and investigate any incidents, theft, loss or suspicious activity, and submit immediate reports to administration and HR.
• Ensure compliance with QHSE Management System, ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 45001 and ISAGO standards.

Required profile

• Minimum CXC O’Level passes in Mathematics and English.
• Strong attention to detail with a high focus on safety and security.
• Passionate about delivering excellent customer service.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Willingness to work in inclement weather and on flexible shifts (days, evenings, nights, weekends, holidays).
