Stores Clerk - GSE Department

About the role

Swissport, a global leader in aviation services, is looking for a Stores Clerk to perform clerical and administrative duties for its GSE department and parts inventory, as laid out by the GSE manager. The role covers receiving, storing and issuing materials and equipment, keeping records and compiling stock reports.

Key responsibilities

• Receive, count and record stock items (including fuels and lubricants), pack and unpack items for storage, and verify inventory against physical counts
• Store items in an orderly way, mark them with tags or stamps, and inspect them for damage, reporting defects to supervisors
• Maintain records of stock use and damage, and dispose of or return damaged items to vendors
• Drive trucks to pick up incoming stock or deliver parts, and issue materials to coworkers based on requisitions
• Prepare inventory, price list, shipment and expenditure reports, and advise internal users on parts and supplies
• Compile data from contracts, purchase orders and requisitions, communicate with engineering, purchasing and vendors, and manage back orders
• Adjust, repair or assemble items as needed, record all work on work orders, and comply with the station's QHSE manual and ISO 9001, 14001, 45001 and ISAGO standards

Required profile

• CXC O'Level passes including Math and English
• Knowledge of equipment parts and inventory control is an asset
• Attentive to detail, numerate, and willing to work in inclement weather
• Flexible to work various shifts, including days, evenings, nights, weekends and holidays

Required skills

• Excellent written and verbal communication
• Knowledge of Maximo or another asset management tool is a plus
