Discipline Engineer (Instrumentation, Controls & Electrical)

About the role

An established energy organisation in Trinidad & Tobago is seeking a Discipline Engineer (Instrumentation, Controls & Electrical) to support operational and reliability initiatives at a major industrial facility. The role focuses on production optimisation, control system performance, alarm management, proactive monitoring and technical troubleshooting.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain and optimise instrumentation, control and electrical systems across the plant.
• Support production teams with control system performance, alarm management and proactive monitoring.
• Provide technical troubleshooting and root‑cause analysis for instrumentation and electrical issues.
• Assist plant operations and maintenance activities, driving continuous improvement initiatives.

Required profile

• Bachelor of Science in Instrumentation, Controls, Electrical Engineering or a related discipline (BSc required).
• Minimum 5 years of engineering experience in oil & gas, petrochemical, LNG or other heavy‑industrial environments.
• Strong knowledge of design, operation, maintenance and troubleshooting of instrumentation, control and electrical systems.
• Demonstrated ability to work with plant operations, maintenance teams and stakeholders.
