HSSE&S Advisor

About the role

Massy Wood is seeking an HSSE&S Advisor to lead health, safety, security and environmental programs for its oil and gas petrochemical operations. The role involves auditing, coaching, and ensuring compliance with corporate HSSE&S policies across multiple sites.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct pre‑mobilisation inspections, contractor site visits, audits and verification checks.
• Develop, execute and monitor HSSE&S dashboards, leading‑indicator programs (STOP, SOC) and improvement action plans.
• Document and report HSSE&S violations, manage out‑of‑normal events and ensure timely communication of findings.
• Provide HSSE&S training, coach employees and support continuous improvement of the HSSE&S Management System.
• Evaluate contractor performance, rate contractors, and coordinate feedback with SCM and the Contractor Coordinator.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Safety and Health.
• NEBOSH Certificate/Diploma or equivalent safety professional qualification.
• Minimum five years of experience in HSSE&S roles within oil, gas or petrochemical operations.
• Demonstrated ability to work in fast‑paced, high‑performance environments and maintain confidentiality.

Required skills

• Knowledge of NEBOSH, OSHA, API, NFPA, OHSAS 18001 and ISO 14000 standards.
• Proficiency in risk assessment and contractor management processes.
• Experience with HSSE&S audit techniques and document‑management systems.
• Competence in standard computer applications, including word processing and spreadsheets.
