Information Technology Specialist

About the role

The Field Service Information Technology Specialist will work on‑site in Tunapuna, delivering installation, configuration and maintenance of hardware, software and network infrastructure for both client and internal environments. You will ensure systems run securely and efficiently while providing end‑user support and training.

Key responsibilities

• Install, configure and maintain computers, servers, peripherals and network equipment.
• Monitor systems, perform regular maintenance and apply security controls.
• Troubleshoot and resolve hardware, software and network issues.
• Respond to service requests, provide on‑site user support and training.
• Document configurations, solutions and maintain ticket records.
• Coordinate with vendors for parts, services and escalations.
• Assist with CCTV, POS, PBX and Apple iOS support as required.

Required profile

• Strong IT and troubleshooting background with experience supporting hardware, software and peripherals.
• Network administration and security experience in LAN/WAN environments.
• Excellent customer‑service skills and clear communication.
• Familiarity with internet technologies, CCTV, POS and PBX/VoIP (or willingness to learn).
• Proficiency with Apple iOS, Windows and macOS operating systems.
• Good documentation, time‑management and organizational abilities.
• Relevant certifications (e.g., CompTIA A+/Network+/Security+, Cisco CCNA, Microsoft) or equivalent experience.
• Diploma or degree in IT, Computer Science or related field, or comparable professional experience.
