Material Handler – Oil & Gas Warehouse

About the role

Massy Wood is seeking an experienced Material Handler to support warehouse operations for its oil and gas projects. The role involves receiving, storing, preparing, and issuing materials while ensuring safety, compliance, and efficiency.

Key responsibilities

• Receive, inspect, label, and put away materials using Maximo.
• Pick, pack, and dispatch items accurately in Maximo.
• Maintain proper packaging for on‑shore and off‑shore shipments.
• Conduct daily equipment checks and ensure safe handling of tools.
• Manage hazardous materials according to incompatibility matrices and SDS.
• Support the maintenance department by locating materials in SAP Maximo and the warehouse.
• Complete OSDD forms for overages, shortages, discrepancies, or damages.
• Participate in HSE/HSSE initiatives and report unsafe conditions.

Required profile

• Technician’s Diploma or Associate Degree in a related field.
• Minimum two years of warehouse management experience, preferably in oil & gas or energy.
• At least two years of hands‑on experience with SAP (MM module).
• Ability to read and follow written procedures, shipping documents, and safety manuals.
• Good oral communication skills for receiving and giving instructions.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Maximo for material handling.
• Experience using SAP MM for inventory control.
• Knowledge of hazardous material management and spill containment.
