Operations Manager – Retail

About the role

A leading retail company in Trinidad is looking for an experienced Operations Manager to join its team in the Port of Spain area. The role covers day-to-day store operations, logistics and deliveries, sales reporting and financial oversight, including deposits, invoicing and accounts receivable.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee the opening and closing of retail stores and ensure smooth daily operations
• Manage truck drivers, coordinate truck routing and ensure timely deliveries to retail locations
• Handle and analyse sales reports to improve performance
• Delegate tasks and process employee leave applications
• Manage daily deposits and reconcile retail and wholesale transactions
• Consolidate deposits and keep a cash float of about $10,000
• Serve as signatory on cheques and customs documents
• Oversee accounts receivable and invoicing, keeping all invoices and financial documents accurately filed

Required profile

• At least 5 years of experience as an Operations Manager
• Expertise across the full range of finance competencies
• Strong collaboration, customer relationship and communication skills; people-driven and autonomous
• Residing in the Port of Spain area
