Part-Time Spa Therapist

About the role

The Spa Therapist administers professional facial, massage and body treatments to guests at the Hyatt Regency Trinidad spa. The role is part-time and requires a thorough knowledge of many treatment modalities, willingness to train in the spa's specific offerings, and current certifications and licences where needed.

Key responsibilities

• Greet guests and clients warmly so they can start their chosen activity quickly and efficiently.
• Perform services such as facials, body treatments, waxing, massage, pedicures and make-up in line with the spa philosophy.
• Provide professional, courteous and consistent service to generate and retain members and clients.
• Maintain the highest standards of safety, professionalism and administration.
• Keep the spa area tidy and promote the spa, its services, facilities, policies and ethics.
• Answer guests' facility-related questions courteously and provide uncompromising attention to guest service.

Required profile

• International certification in the spa treatment modalities performed (massage therapy, esthetics, etc.).
• At least 2 years of experience as a Spa Therapist, preferably with knowledge of the hotel industry.
• Ability to work all shifts, including evenings, weekends and holidays.
• Customer service and hospitality training preferred; first aid and sanitation training considered an asset.

Required skills

• Strong retail skills and drive to achieve set retail targets.
• Good understanding of beauty treatments.
• Excellent communication skills and product and service knowledge to deliver wellness solutions to guests.
