Rig Safety Advisor

About the role

The Rig Safety Advisor provides HSE support for all personnel on board the installation, working under the guidance of the Regional QHSE Advisor and QHSE Manager. The role advises the Offshore Installation Manager and department heads on implementing company HSE programs, ensuring compliance with safety standards and promoting a strong safety culture.

Key responsibilities

• Implement and monitor HSE processes in coordination with regional QHSE Advisors.
• Coach Safe Systems of Work (SSoW) and promote activities that improve HSE performance.
• Manage HSE programs and training, including onboarding, emergency drills and competency assurance.
• Prepare and submit HSE reports for the company, clients and regulatory bodies.
• Conduct rig inspections and ensure HSE equipment is ready.
• Lead behavior-based safety initiatives and support the OIM in HSE-related tasks.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
• At least five years of HSE experience.
• At least three years of experience in an offshore environment.
• Available to travel to remote locations as needed and physically able to be transported to an offshore rig.
• NEBOSH or CSP certification preferred; valid Seaman Book and valid TBOSIET (Basic Offshore Safety Induction and Emergency Training).

Required skills
