Security Operations Centre Analyst

About the role

The Security Operations Centre (SOC) Analyst will help customers prevent service interruptions in their security environments. You will monitor alerts from security tools, record incidents, and ensure resolution within agreed Service Level Agreements.

Key responsibilities

• Support Availability Management by monitoring all customer security devices according to contracts and SLAs.
• Respond to events and alerts identified via monitoring tools, categorising them per established processes and policies.
• Handle customer calls related to SOC functions.
• Provide periodic reports for security event analysis and capacity management as directed by the manager.
• Conduct technical security assessments and offer consultation to customers and colleagues when required.

Required profile

• Associate Degree in Computer Science or Information Technology.
• CompTIA Security+ certification or equivalent.
• Minimum of 2 years experience in an IT services environment with a focus on security technologies.
• Technical competence in at least three of the following: endpoint protection, perimeter/core/web firewalls, vulnerability assessment, operating system hardening.
• Experience using security monitoring toolsets such as FortiAnalyzer, Checkpoint Smart Event, FortiSIEM, Azure Sentinel.
• AWS or Azure security certification is considered an asset.
