Senior Accountant

About the role

The Senior Accountant will support the Finance Manager in daily financial operations across the Group. This position oversees junior finance staff, manages month‑end close, financial reporting, tax compliance, budgeting and intercompany reconciliations, and contributes to Board reporting.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise junior finance staff handling accounts receivable, accounts payable and bank reconciliations.
• Review and sign off monthly schedules, reconciliations and journal entries.
• Prepare cost schedules, month‑end reconciliations and financial statements for multiple entities.
• Compile audit schedules and support audit preparation.
• Reconcile VAT accounts, compute and file VAT returns, and prepare quarterly tax workings.
• Monitor AR/AP, process payouts, approve expenses and manage credit‑card reconciliations.
• Lead intercompany account reconciliations and maintain internal transaction records.
• Support budgeting and maintain accurate costing and fixed‑asset records.

Required profile

• Proven ability to supervise and develop junior finance staff.
• Experience in month‑end close, financial reporting and audit support.
• Strong knowledge of VAT and tax compliance processes.
