Technical Sales Specialist (Retail Technology)

About the role

Are you a sales professional who understands both technology and business? Our client is looking for a Technical Sales Specialist to drive growth by delivering smart, practical IT solutions to retail businesses across Trinidad and Tobago.

Key responsibilities

• Build and manage relationships with retail clients (groceries, stores, distribution).
• Identify business challenges and recommend tailored IT solutions such as POS, inventory systems, and retail software.
• Manage the full sales cycle from lead generation to closing.
• Work closely with technical teams to ensure smooth implementation and client satisfaction.
• Track and manage your sales pipeline and opportunities.
• Stay ahead of market trends, competitors, and emerging retail technologies.
• Prepare proposals, presentations, and participate in client meetings and trade events.

Required profile

• Degree in IT, Business, or a related field.
• 3–5 years of experience in technical sales, preferably in IT or retail technology.
• Strong understanding of retail operations and business workflows.
• Ability to translate technical solutions into business value.
• Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets.
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
