Material and Equipment Handler

About the role

The Materials and Equipment Handler ensures the receipt, inspection, storage, issuance and movement of materials, tools and equipment for oil and gas petrochemical projects. The role supports inventory control, hazardous material handling and compliance with safety and quality standards.

Key responsibilities

• Receive, inspect, store and issue materials using Maximo ERP.
• Operate material handling equipment and forklifts (3‑15 t) safely.
• Maintain accurate inventory records, support cycle counts and stock audits.
• Coordinate repair, maintenance and modification of tools and equipment.
• Manage hazardous materials following SDS, incompatibility matrix and safety requirements.
• Prepare and label shipments for on‑shore and offshore locations.
• Provide logistic support to the maintenance department and liaise with material coordinators.
• Participate in HSSE initiatives, report non‑conformances and ensure a zero‑accident culture.

Required profile

• Technician’s Diploma or associate degree in a related field.
• Minimum two years’ experience in warehouse management within oil & gas or energy.
• At least two years’ experience with ERP software (e.g., Maximo).
• Valid forklift certification (3 t‑15 t) and good character certificate (≤ 6 months).

Required skills

• Proficiency in Maximo (SAP Maximo) ERP.
• Forklift operation (3 t‑15 t).
• Hazardous material handling and spill containment knowledge.
• Intermediate Microsoft Excel; basic Word and PowerPoint.
