Tax Associate - General Tax

About the role

Deloitte Trinidad is hiring a Tax Associate in its Tax services, which help clients navigate complex tax rules, make informed decisions and meet their compliance obligations worldwide. The associate applies accounting and taxation knowledge to client engagements, using modern tools and methodologies, and works toward a relevant professional designation.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct research and complete tax files for business tax, international tax, mergers and acquisitions, transaction support, indirect tax, business process solutions and general tax compliance and consulting.
• Learn and use tax tools and new technologies.
• Build analytical, problem-solving and communication skills.
• Take part in well-being and sustainability initiatives, social and community events and other programmes aligned with Deloitte's Shared Values.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree, preferably in a related field, or an equivalent qualification such as ACCA.
• Working toward an internationally recognised professional accounting, tax or legal designation.
• Previous tax or related work experience preferred, including co-op or internship experience.
