Operations Support Officer

About the role

RBC is hiring an Operations Support Officer in Port of Spain, Trinidad and Tobago, for its Personal & Commercial Banking platform. The role covers the fulfillment and servicing of complex client transactions, using detailed knowledge of related RBC products and services, and acts as a referral point for policy, process and procedure questions.

Key responsibilities

• Provide consistent support and service within established benchmarks, contributing to Client Service Commitments and Service Level Agreements.
• Take ownership of complex client issues and concerns at first point of contact, and resolve them.
• Act as a referral point and subject matter expert for sales and service staff on policy, process and procedure.
• Proactively identify recurring errors, service gaps and operational inefficiencies, and recommend solutions and improvements.
• Develop, manage and act on a Personal Development Plan to keep skills, knowledge and accreditations up to date.

Required profile

• Degree in Business or Accounting or a related discipline, or equivalent training.
• At least three years of experience specifically in accounting or finance.
• Strong understanding of banking procedures, policies and industry standards.
• Excellent written and verbal communication, teamwork and client-first orientation.
• Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced, volume-driven environment.

Nice-to-have

• Current market activity knowledge.
• Working knowledge of related applications and tools.
• Knowledge of capital markets, fixed income, equities, brokerage and wealth management.
• Knowledge of the local and international business environment.

The position is full time, salaried, with 37.5 hours per week. Applications close on 4 November 2026.
