Estimator

About the role

The Estimator will lead the preparation and evaluation of project cost estimates for oil and gas projects, ensuring accuracy, consistency and compliance with corporate procedures.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate and issue timely cost estimates to clients, maintaining consistency across disciplines and project scopes.
• Analyse historical estimate accuracy, identify trends and recommend improvement actions.
• Liaise with cost, planning, procurement, engineering and project controls teams to gather data, verify assumptions and anticipate change requests.
• Supervise and train junior estimators, reviewing their work for quality and compliance.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Quantity Surveying or Engineering.
• Minimum seven years of estimating experience, including at least three years in the oil & gas sector.
• Strong commercial focus, ability to work unsupervised and meet tight deadlines.

Required skills

• Proficiency with corporate estimating software.
• Advanced use of Microsoft Word and Excel.
