Quality Inspector – E&I

About the role

Massy Wood is seeking an experienced Quality Inspector – E&I to join its Trinidad office. The role supports field execution by implementing the QA/QC programme across construction, engineering and commissioning activities within the oil and gas petrochemical sector.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, coordinate and report on QA/QC activities, ensuring inspection findings are documented and corrective actions taken.
• Inspect, supervise and attest key hold points of Inspection Test Plans (ITPs) together with subcontractor quality personnel.
• Validate revisions of procedures, process plans and work instructions for construction activities.
• Identify, evaluate and resolve quality‑related incidents, non‑conformances and document changes to IFC deliverables.
• Maintain QA/QC records in accordance with Massy Wood’s Quality Management System.
• Coordinate with subcontractors, HSSE representatives and internal stakeholders to ensure compliance with client and company standards.
• Conduct site inspections, including instrument calibration, control‑valve testing, electrical device testing and material inspections.
• Review inspection and testing reports, subcontractor procedures and quality documentation for compliance with industry codes and project specifications.

Required profile

• Extensive experience in quality assurance and control within the oil and gas or petrochemical construction environment.
• Strong knowledge of construction, engineering and commissioning processes.
• Proven ability to work with subcontractors and multidisciplinary teams.
• Excellent problem‑solving skills and attention to detail.
