Construction Engineer – Electrical & Instrumentation

About the role

Massy Wood is seeking an experienced Construction Engineer specialized in Electrical & Instrumentation (E&I) to support the construction team from design through commissioning on oil and gas projects. The role ensures that engineering solutions are constructible, meet quality, time and budget targets, and comply with HSSE and technical standards.

Key responsibilities

• Provide constructability input during design, layout, fabrication, assembly, installation, testing and pre‑commissioning of on‑shore and off‑shore facilities.
• Develop detailed work packs, job cards, man‑hour estimates and work breakdown structures.
• Support tender preparation, respond to technical clarifications and evaluate tenders from a technical perspective.
• Assist Construction Superintendent, Coordinators and Field Supervisors with technical guidance.
• Ensure all deliverables comply with relevant procedures, codes and practices.
• Maintain up‑to‑date knowledge of standards, legislation and technical developments.
• Participate in client discussions, site visits and obtain approvals from client technical authorities.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical & Instrumentation Engineering from a recognized university.
• 5–7 years of construction experience in the oil and gas industry.
• Ability to synthesize complex information and delegate work effectively.
• Strong understanding of construction processes, tendering and technical documentation.
