On-Site Technician

About the role

Styroforms Ltd, an architectural foam shapes design and fabrication company based in Trinidad and Tobago, is hiring a full-time on-site Site Technician in Arima. The role involves a lot of customer relations, meeting clients to discuss their architectural needs and measuring, sketching and noting the details required to carry out the job.

Key responsibilities

• Meet clients and discuss their architectural needs, then measure, sketch and record the details needed for the job.
• Work alongside management on projects and assist installers and crews on site.
• Perform routine inspections of installed products and troubleshoot on-site issues.
• Collaborate with the design and fabrication teams to solve technical or installation challenges.
• Interact daily with customers and contractors, document work completed, follow safety protocols and keep tools and equipment in good working order.
• Carry out accurate measurements, basic site preparation and support quality assurance so products are installed to company standards.

Required profile

• Strong communication and customer service skills to work with clients, contractors and internal teams.
• Troubleshooting and technical support skills to resolve on-site installation issues.
• Solid analytical skills to interpret drawings, measure accurately and assess site conditions.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings or specifications is an asset.
• Secondary school education or vocational training in construction, carpentry or a related field is preferred.
• Manual driver's licence.
• Physical ability to work on ladders, scaffolding and in various weather conditions.

Required skills

• Basic construction or installation experience, including the use of hand and power tools, is beneficial.
• Attention to detail, reliability and a focus on safety.
