Repair/Mechanical Engineer – Service Contract Specialist

About the role

This Repair/Mechanical Engineer role supports a long‑term service contract for a major customer site, leading and coordinating daily shop operations and service activities to fulfil customer orders and needs.

Key responsibilities

• Perform all rotor‑shop work including inspection, breakdown, repairs, rebuilding, balancing and reporting in line with Repair Network standards.
• Execute HDGT NDT & CBMO inspections, reports and repairs on capital parts such as liners, TP’s, diaphragms, nozzles and casings.
• Carry out gas‑valve refurbishment – disassembly, inspection, assembly, function testing and reporting.
• Monitor customer equipment history, fire hours and part outages; advise turbine refurbishment teams on capital‑part selection.
• Create and manage routings, check forms and customer reports using web tools; handle SSR and NCR cases per network procedures.
• Lead the shop’s safe‑work culture, ensure 100% QMS/HSE compliance and drive continuous improvement of efficiency and quality.

Required profile

• Minimum 10 years of experience in inspection, repairs, reliability or QA/QC within the oil & gas industry.
• Certification in field inspections such as NDT.
• Strong oral and written communication, interpersonal and leadership abilities.
• Proven supervisory skills to guide execution teams on critical projects.

Required skills

• NDT (including HDGT and CBMO) inspection techniques.
• Gas‑valve refurbishment procedures.
• Rotor‑shop inspection, repair and balancing.
• Use of technical documentation tools (REI, ITN, SSR, NCR).
• Experience with check‑form and customer‑report web tools.
