Senior Finance Officer

About the role

We are seeking a Senior Finance Officer to support the Finance Manager in delivering accurate financial information and analysis for executive decision‑making. The role is based in Port Spain and serves our aviation and culinary business units across the Caribbean and Latin America.

Key responsibilities

• Process supplier invoices, payments, and maintain accounts payable reconciliations.
• Manage intercompany invoicing, journal entries, and monthly confirmations.
• Prepare balance‑sheet reconciliations (bank, accruals, pre‑payments) and ensure all items are cleared.
• Support month‑end close, month‑end reporting and fixed‑asset schedule maintenance.
• Maintain insurance schedules, tax files, and related documentation.
• Track inventory spend, petty‑cash, travel and employee expenses.
• File and organize all departmental records, both paper and electronic.
• Assist with audit schedules and statutory reporting requirements.

Required profile

• Proven experience in finance or accounting, preferably within a multinational environment.
• Strong understanding of intercompany transactions, accounts payable and month‑end processes.
• Attention to detail with the ability to reconcile complex accounts.
• Good organizational skills for maintaining schedules, records and documentation.
