Junior Accountant – Full Time

About the role

The Junior Accountant plays an important role in ensuring timely and accurate financial reporting while supervising accounting staff and supporting key accounting, reconciliation and audit activities.

Key responsibilities

• Supporting the preparation of monthly financial statements and internal/external reports
• Processing cash receipts, bank adjustments, accruals and general journals
• Supervising accounting staff and ensuring assigned workflows are completed accurately and on time
• Reviewing cheque payment vouchers and supporting documentation
• Editing and posting Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable batches
• Preparing daily bank reconciliations
• Preparing and reviewing key account reconciliations, including intercompany accounts
• Assisting with stock variance investigations
• Supporting the coordination of external audits
• Maintaining fixed asset addition records
• Liaising with other departments to follow up on outstanding documentation and information

Required profile

• Pursuing ACCA Level 3 or hold an equivalent combination of accounting qualifications, training and experience
• At least five years of relevant accounting experience
• Experience managing or supervising junior accounting staff
• Deadline‑driven, organised and detail‑oriented
• Proficient in Microsoft Office
• Strong interpersonal, communication, organisational and time‑management skills
