Vehicle Management Superintendent

About the role

The Vehicle Management Superintendent (VMS) leads the planning, programming and coordination of the client’s global vehicle fleet, ensuring all vehicles are available, dependable and safe. The role may be performed independently or by managing a team that provides non‑standard fleet maintenance, repair and logistics support worldwide.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and advise the vehicle fleet management and maintenance team, establishing shop stock lists and safety programs.
• Oversee global vehicle maintenance, repair, calibration, oil analysis and emergency recovery operations.
• Prepare vehicle readiness reports, write and update SOPs, and manage dispatch of the fleet.
• Coordinate warranty and contract repairs, monitor delayed maintenance and accident/abuse programs, and maintain historical vehicle data.
• Travel to CONUS and OCONUS locations, including austere environments, to provide on‑site fleet management and quality‑assurance services.

Required profile

• High school diploma minimum; college courses in Business Administration or Vehicle Maintenance highly desirable.
• At least two years of vehicle maintenance support experience and ASE certification.
• Valid Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) and passport; ability to pass Controlled Movement Area flight line driving test.
• Secret security clearance.

Required skills

• ASE Certified technician.
• Commercial Driver’s License (CDL).
• Proficiency with vehicle maintenance tools, machines and oil analysis programs.
• Knowledge of diesel, hybrid and electric engine repair.
• Understanding of electronic equipment, circuit boards and computer hardware/software.
