About the role
Cunupia is hiring a cashier in Port of Spain, Trinidad and Tobago. The cashier plays a key part in customer satisfaction, financial accuracy and the overall efficiency of the business. The position is on a 6-month contract with an option of renewal, working Monday to Friday from 8:30 am to 5 pm.
Key responsibilities
- Greet customers and provide excellent service.
- Process cash, credit and debit transactions accurately.
- Issue receipts and handle returns or exchanges according to company policy.
- Maintain a clean and organized checkout area.
- Monitor the cash drawer and ensure accurate daily balancing.
- Answer customer questions and resolve complaints promptly.
- Assist with stocking shelves and other general store duties as needed.
Required profile
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Strong communication and customer service skills.
- Ability to handle transactions quickly and accurately.
- Experience in a similar role is a plus but not required.
