Instrumentation and Controls Engineer II

About the role

Massy Wood is seeking an Instrumentation and Controls Engineer II with solid oil and gas experience to prepare and deliver discipline design documents. The role involves working under limited supervision and collaborating with senior engineers, clients, and vendors.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and originate discipline design deliverables with limited direction.
• Assist the Discipline Lead Engineer and support senior personnel on on‑shore and off‑shore surveys.
• Ensure designs address operational and maintenance issues and comply with client‑specific standards.
• Develop and maintain working relationships with clients, suppliers, and operations personnel.
• Follow document control procedures and capture lessons learned for continuous improvement.

Required profile

• First degree in Instrumentation and Controls Engineering (B.Sc. or B.Eng.).
• 2‑5 years of relevant experience in the oil and gas sector.
• Valid Certificate of Good Character (issued within the last 6 months).
• Preference for national citizens or permanent residents of Trinidad & Tobago; no sponsorship provided.

Required skills

• Instrumentation and controls engineering knowledge.
• Familiarity with standard design engineering deliverables and discipline software/tools.
• Ability to produce safe, cost‑effective, fit‑for‑purpose solutions.
• Proficient English communication, both written and verbal.
