Instrumentation and Controls Engineer III

About the role

Massy Wood is seeking an experienced Instrumentation & Controls Engineer III to deliver discipline design deliverables for oil and gas projects. The role involves working under limited supervision, collaborating with senior engineers, and ensuring designs are safe, cost‑effective and meet client standards.

Key responsibilities

• Originate and produce discipline design deliverables with limited direction.
• Assist Discipline Lead Engineer and support senior personnel on surveys both onshore and offshore.
• Ensure operational and maintenance considerations are incorporated into designs.
• Maintain document control, create check prints/IDC prints and capture lessons learned.
• Identify scope changes, propose corrective actions and communicate with client, supplier and operations teams.

Required profile

• First degree in Engineering (BSc or BEng) and membership of a professional body preferred.
• 5‑8 years of relevant oil & gas experience, progressing towards chartered status.
• Valid Certificate of Good Character (issued within the last 6 months).
• Preference for national citizens or permanent residents of Trinidad & Tobago; no sponsorship provided.

Required skills

• Knowledge of instrumentation and control engineering principles.
• Familiarity with discipline‑specific software and tools.
• Ability to produce and self‑check engineering deliverables.
• Strong command of English for effective communication.
