Junior Accountant

About the role

Guardian Life of the Caribbean Limited is looking for a motivated Junior Accountant to support daily accounting operations. You will assist with reconciliations, financial reporting, and maintaining accurate records while gaining exposure to regulatory and tax compliance across multiple Caribbean territories.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and submit statutory and regulatory reports to local authorities on a quarterly and annual basis.
• Support internal and external audits by providing required documentation and schedules.
• Assist with the preparation and filing of corporate income tax returns and related tax reconciliations.
• Help monitor internal financial controls and compile data for compliance reporting such as SOX, FATCA, CRS, or local equivalents.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams and external advisors to ensure compliance with company policies and external regulations.

Required profile

• ACCA level 2 or a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• 1–2 years of relevant accounting or finance experience.
• Basic knowledge of IFRS.
• Certificate of Character as required by Know Your Employee guidelines.
• Strong time‑management, organizational, and communication skills with a high level of integrity.
