Junior Accountant

About the role

We are looking for a motivated Junior Accountant to support daily accounting operations at Guardian Life of the Caribbean Limited. You will assist in preparing monthly management accounts, regulatory reports and tax filings while gaining exposure to a dynamic financial services environment.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and submit statutory and regulatory reports to local authorities across multiple Caribbean territories.
• Assist in the coordination of monthly management accounts, reporting templates and annual financial statements.
• Support internal and external audits by providing required documentation and schedules.
• Help with the preparation and filing of corporate income tax returns and related tax reconciliations.
• Monitor internal financial controls and compile data for compliance reporting such as SOX, FATCA, CRS or local equivalents.

Required profile

• ACCA Level 2 qualification or a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field.
• 1–2 years of relevant accounting or finance experience.
• Basic knowledge of IFRS.
• Certificate of Character as required by Know Your Employee guidelines.
• Strong time‑management, organization and the ability to work with minimal supervision.
• High integrity, professionalism and clear communication skills.
