Junior Accountant

About the role

Guardian Life of the Caribbean Limited is looking for a motivated Junior Accountant to support daily accounting operations. You will assist in preparing monthly management accounts, reporting templates, and annual financial statements while gaining exposure to regulatory and tax compliance across multiple Caribbean territories.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and submit statutory and regulatory reports to local authorities on a quarterly and annual basis.
• Assist with corporate income tax filings, tax reconciliations, and data gathering for tax provisions.
• Support internal and external audits by providing required documentation and schedules.
• Help monitor internal financial controls and compile data for compliance reporting such as SOX, FATCA, CRS, or local equivalents.
• Contribute to the coordination of monthly management accounts and annual financial statements.

Required profile

• ACCA Level 2 or a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Basic knowledge of IFRS.
• 1–2 years of relevant accounting or finance experience.
• Certificate of Character as required by Know Your Employee guidelines.
• Strong time‑management, negotiation and reporting abilities, with a high degree of integrity and professionalism.
