Junior Accountant

About the role

We are looking for a motivated Junior Accountant to support our daily accounting operations. You will assist in preparing monthly management accounts, reporting templates and annual financial statements while ensuring compliance with regulatory and tax requirements. Guardian Life of the Caribbean Limited is a leading provider of life, health and pension solutions across the Caribbean region.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and submit statutory and regulatory reports to local authorities across multiple Caribbean territories.
• Support internal and external audits by providing required documentation and schedules.
• Assist with the preparation and filing of corporate income tax returns and related tax reconciliations.
• Maintain accurate tax records and gather data for tax provisions and year‑end reporting.
• Monitor internal financial controls and help compile data for compliance reporting such as SOX, FATCA, CRS or local equivalents.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams and external advisors to meet compliance requirements.

Required profile

• ACCA Level 2 or a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field.
• Basic knowledge of IFRS.
• 1–2 years of relevant accounting or finance experience.
• Flexible, organized, result‑oriented and able to work with minimal supervision.
• Strong integrity, professionalism and excellent communication skills.
