Utility Accountant

About the role

The Utility Accountant will evaluate the financial health and regulatory compliance of service providers, ensuring that they meet established standards. This role also supports the Commission’s accounting team by preparing and reviewing financial statements, analysing data, and maintaining the fixed‑assets register.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct financial analysis of service provider records to assess sustainability and compliance.
• Prepare, review and verify financial statements and records for the Commission.
• Analyse financial data to identify trends, variances and potential risks.
• Audit accounting work performed by internal and external parties.
• Maintain and update the fixed‑assets register.

Required profile

• First degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Finance or a related discipline.
• Professional qualification such as ACCA or equivalent recognized training.
• Minimum three years of experience in accounting, finance or auditing.
