Financial Accountant

About the role

The Financial Accountant will join our on‑site finance team in Trinidad and Tobago, working full‑time to ensure the accuracy and compliance of our financial records. You will be responsible for preparing, reviewing and analysing financial statements while supporting month‑end and year‑end closing activities.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain the general ledger and post journal entries accurately.
• Reconcile accounts and monitor cash flow.
• Prepare financial statements and management reports in line with IFRS.
• Support internal and external audits and implement financial controls.
• Assist with budgeting, project cost tracking and profitability analysis.
• Collaborate with operational teams to provide financial insights for decision‑making.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or related field; professional certification (ACCA, CPA, CIMA) preferred.
• Proven experience preparing and analysing financial statements.
• Strong attention to detail, accuracy and organizational skills.
• Effective communication and ability to work cross‑functionally on‑site.

Required skills

• Proficiency with accounting software/ERP systems.
• Knowledge of IFRS or other recognized accounting frameworks.
• Experience in general ledger management and journal entry posting.
• Account reconciliation and cash‑flow management.
• Audit support and implementation of financial controls.
