Passenger Service Agent

About the role

Swissport is seeking a Passenger Service Agent to join its global aviation team. In this role you will deliver high‑quality customer service to travellers in a fast‑paced, regulated airport environment, supporting check‑in, boarding, and special‑needs assistance.

Key responsibilities

• Provide courteous service to internal and external customers, maintaining a professional demeanor.
• Inspect passenger documentation, issue boarding passes, and re‑schedule passengers affected by disruptions.
• Process baggage, calculate fees, and manage gate boarding for checked‑in passengers.
• Assist passengers with special needs, including wheelchair support, unaccompanied minors, VIPs, and customs/immigration procedures.
• Make public address announcements and coordinate with ramp attendants for equipment and luggage handling.
• Operate airport equipment, reservation/ticketing software, and baggage‑tracing systems.
• Prepare required documentation for immigration, health, and customs authorities.
• Handle cash, debit, and credit transactions securely and account for any discrepancies.

Required profile

• Strong customer‑service orientation with a pleasant, professional attitude.
• Ability to work in a highly regulated, manual environment and follow SOPs.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to assist passengers with diverse needs.
• Attention to detail for documentation, cash handling, and baggage processing.

Required skills

• Proficiency with airport reservation/ticketing software.
• Experience operating airport equipment such as jetways and baggage‑tracing systems.
