Production Coordinator

About the role

The Production Coordinator supervises and coordinates daily warehouse operations, ensuring efficient inventory management and smooth logistics distribution. The main goal is to guarantee product availability and compliance with operational and safety standards, while meeting KPIs to fulfil customer deliveries. The position is based in Tacarigua, Trinidad.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise the local team and production targets, and direct employee requests to Human Resources, reporting absences and late arrivals
• Request equipment from the client, place orders to replenish stock and avoid shortages or excess inventory
• Coordinate receiving, storage and shipment of goods, manage loading and unloading, and inspect goods on arrival, documenting damages
• Generate daily shipping and receiving reports and prepare products for shipment with accurate descriptions
• Maintain safety measures in line with local regulations, implement preventive maintenance and keep facilities and equipment running
• Recruit, orient and train staff, conduct performance evaluations and take corrective action
• Hold weekly meetings with the client, prepare daily production charts and reports, and act as a communication channel with the Operations Manager
• Work overtime when necessary to meet client production requirements

Required profile

• Relevant technical or vocational skills and at least two years of relevant experience
• Leadership, communication, decision-making and problem-solving abilities
• Business acumen, team-building, organizational and coordination skills
• Time management, understanding of operational policies and ability to supervise employees with minimal supervision
