Technician III - Rentals Division

About the role

FT Farfan Limited is hiring a Technician III for its Rentals Division in San Juan. The role involves solving complex technical issues through advanced diagnostics, working alongside the Team Lead to ensure customer satisfaction, and coaching and mentoring junior technicians and trainees.

Key responsibilities

• Perform advanced diagnostics and repairs on electrical and electronics, fuel and injection, steering and braking, hydraulic and pneumatic systems, PLC controls and basic power train and control systems
• Assist the Team Leader and Master Tech with planning of jobs and projects
• Maintain customer service contracts and complete work orders within the stipulated timeframe
• Research repairs, identify parts by part number, prepare quotations, service estimates and technical reports
• Complete dealership-sponsored training, including online modules, and keep up with product and industry trends
• Work offsite on scheduled and emergency call-outs, responding 24 hours a day, 7 days a week
• Guide trainees, run diagnostic workshops and mentor junior technicians
• Maintain housekeeping standards and comply with Health, Safety and Environmental (HSE) policies, including team compliance

Required profile

• Associate's degree in a related field of practice
• Three to five OEM classroom trainings completed
• At least five years of experience in related fields
• Ability to troubleshoot and diagnose problems over the phone and to work unsupervised in a fast-paced environment

• Computer/software assisted repairs and electrical diagnostics
