Senior Audit & Assurance Associate

About the role

We are seeking a Senior Audit & Assurance Associate to lead audit engagements for our clients. The role involves planning, executing and finalising audits while ensuring compliance with IFRS and delivering high‑quality audit reports.

Key responsibilities

• Update client permanent files and review accounting systems to assess internal controls.
• Prepare confirmation templates, information request lists and audit schedules.
• Liaise with clients to schedule audit commencement and request documentation.
• Carry out audit testing, sampling and risk assessments in collaboration with the Audit Manager.
• Conduct audits according to the audit strategy, work programmes and IFRS requirements.
• Prepare financial statements, management letters, representation letters and tax returns.
• Produce weekly status reports and client correspondence detailing audit planning, findings and deficiencies.
• Supervise audit staff, ensure proper file assembly and address review comments.
• Evaluate client accounting procedures, draft audit certificates and compile additional schedules as required.
• Attend audit planning and draft review meetings, conduct analytical reviews and quality checks on year‑end files.
• Perform interim audits, business valuations and compilation/review engagements.

Required profile

• Significant experience in audit and assurance engagements.
• Ability to supervise junior staff and manage multiple audit projects.
• Strong knowledge of IFRS and related accounting standards.
• Excellent client communication and documentation skills.
